Baby’s Pea Soup with Brown Rice

2 cups organic frozen peas
2 teaspoons organic brown rice flour
Pour 2 cups of organic frozen peas and 1/2 cup of filtered water into the
360 1-Quart Saucepan.
Cover the saucepan and place over medium heat. Cook just until steam begins to escape from under the sides of the lid, 2-3 minutes.
Spin the lid to engage the Vapor Seal. Immediately reduce the heat to low. Cook the peas for three minutes.
Pour the peas and the liquid into a mini-food processor bowl. Pulse the mixture into a thin puree. Add one or two tablespoons of filtered water, if necessary, to obtain the proper consistency. Set aside.
In a small bowl, whisk 1/2 cup of filtered water into 2 teaspoons of organic rice flour to form a slurry. Pour the slurry into the 360 1-Quart Saucepan. Bring the liquid to a boil and cook for 1-2 minutes.
Add the pea puree and cook, uncovered, over medium-low heat for two minutes.
Strain the entire mixture through a mesh-strainer using a heat-proof spatula to press the liquid into a small bowl. Allow the mixture to cool and store in the refrigerator or freezer.
***Tip: Standard ice cube trays hold about one ounce of liquid. You can portion and freeze the soup into individual cube servings.
