Akasha Richmond is the chef/owner of AKASHA a restaurant, bar and bakery in Culver City, CA. She is a self-trained chef and artisan-style baker who has catered events for celebrities and other individuals with fabulous taste for more than twenty years.

Akasha’s cookbook HOLLYWOOD DISH includes tales of Hollywood’s 100-year passion for organic foods and healthy lifestyles and stories of her favorite cooking experiences: making holiday dinners for Billy Bob Thornton, catering parties for Pierce Brosnan, producing events at the Sundance Film Festival, and working as a private chef for Barbra Streisand.

An advocate for healthy cooking, Akasha uses 360 Cookware to create dishes with less fat and more flavor!  She also lends her time and expertise to groups such as Healthy Child Healthy World, Common Threads, The Organic Center, and the Environmental Media Association. Respected by the media as a culinary expert, Akasha has appeared on Access Hollywood, E! Entertainment Television, HGTV and many local news programs from across the country.
