Slow Cooker Base

I love this multi purpose slow cooker. it holds vapors in and I use the 4 qt pan on it so much. I like it cause it taste like crock pot food, but is much, much faster. Took about 2 1/2 hours for whole pot roast yesterday i fixed a shoulder roast, not frozen in it with adding potatoes and carrots later, it was simpley scrumptious. I sear my roast in skillet first to give it a brown taste , then add it to cooker with seasonings, no water. about 1/hour before serving , i added potatoes and carrots, when i was ready to take up, i made a cup of water with 1 tbls of cornstarch in it , added to the veggies and broth that it had made, mmmmmmmmmm delicious. you can cook about anything in it I give it a 5 star RATING
I briefly commented on this product when I posted my review of the 2.3 Quart, but would like to add that this "little" slow cooker base is great. It is smaller and takes up less room than all my other crock pots. I KNOW what my pot is made of and where it came from (USA). Unlike the "glazed crocks" made in China of which there are no long term studies as to how they might affect the food you cook in them. At first I was concerned because I am so used to my regular crockpot switching to warming mode, but that didn't seem to be a problem. As long as there is enough liquid (and you will get a lot from the meat itself due to the design of this cookware), it's not going to over cook. I actually prefer the moist, falling off the bone texture of my meat. You will just have to remember to unplug the base as it does not have an on/off switch. Highly recommend adding this to your set.
This is an amazing cooker. Even heat, easy to clean, and more versatile than my slow cooker. I have used both the 2.3 and the 4 qt pots and have had great success!!! Soup, meatballs, etc ... and the food is moist! I love my 360 ... giving away my old pots!
