Bacon Apple Baked Brie
1 wheel of brie cheese
2 apple chopped into cubes (granny smith or other favorite)
3 strips of thick bacon, sliced
2 tbsp dark brown sugar
Preheat your oven to 350°F. Place a wheel of brie in an oven-proof dish and score the top with a knife in a crisscross pattern. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, until the cheese is soft and bubbling.
While brie is baking cut bacon and apples into small bite size pieces. Grab another stovetop pan and cook bacon. Once fully cooked add in dark brown sugar and apples, stir to combine. Stir occasionally and let juices marry into apples and become soft for 3-5 minutes or until the brie is ready.
Once the cheese has reached the desired texture, it's time to serve! Transfer the brie to a plate and top with apple mixture. Serve and enjoy with your favorite crackers, toast points, or a sliced baguette. You can also add chopped pecans for an added crunch.
