Spicy Sichuan-Style Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of green beans

  • 1 tablespoon of avocado oil

  • 2 teaspoons of chili garlic sauce

  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced (white parts only)

  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced

  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoon of rice vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon of sugar

  • ¼ cup of water

  • ½ teaspoon of red pepper flakes

Directions

  1. Preheat your saute pan on medium low heat for a few minutes. Once hot, add the green beans and stir fry for 7-10 minutes or until blistered.

  2. Add the minced garlic, green onions, and garlic chili sauce to the pan and saute for about a minute, then add the soy sauce, rice vinegar, water, sugar, and red pepper flakes.

  3. Cook for another 5-10 minutes until the sauce is thickened and the green beans are cooked to your liking.

  4. Serve with sesame seeds or additional green onion, if desired.
